How this site's content is written
Articles and guides on this site are written by the firm's own team, to an editorial standard: plain-English explanations of settlement agreements and employment law, checked for accuracy before publication.
Statutory figures, such as redundancy pay caps and notice periods, are held in a single source file in our codebase and checked by an automated test on every change, so a figure cannot drift out of date on one page while it is correct on another.
Solicitor review is recorded per page in a ledger tied to the exact wording published. Where a named solicitor has signed off the current version of a page, the page says so. Where they have not yet, the page says "solicitor review pending" rather than implying a review that has not happened.
A page's "last edited" date moves only when its article content changes, not when unrelated code on the site is updated.
We use technology, including artificial intelligence tools, to support our work, including drafting content for this site. AI-drafted material is edited by the team before publication, and a page claims solicitor review only once a solicitor has signed that exact version in the review record described above.
